Marinas and docks world wide are graced with thousands of boats per year and keeping these craft clean and seaworthy takes its toll on the fresh and salt water they are sitting in, and consequently the aquatic life that is found beneath the surface. Our products are based on micelle technology and are called " colloid " cleaners. The word micelle is derived from miscible cell meaning cell that emulsifies. A micelle is an aggregation of polymers that attracts one another to form an organised structure. These polymers are amphilic. That is they have a hydrophilic (water seeking) pole and a hydrophobic (water repelling) pole within the same chain. The hydrophobic poles attract each other, thus forming the interior of the micelle.

This interior environment can carry lipophilic (fat loving) substances, while the hydrophilic poles allow the micelles to disperse in water. The process creates molecules in a microscopic field similar to a magnetic field, but in which a molecular attraction is not the usual attraction between positive and negative poles but an attraction between like poles. In this way, a micelle can be used to solubilise materials which have little or no solubility in water thus enhancing the usefulness of water. When a micelle comes into contact with hydrocarbon molecules (oil), or other highly viscous and sticky materials, it penetrates and locks the substance in colloidal suspension. This disrupts the attraction of the other hydrocarbon (or other sticky substance) and lifts it from the surface to which it is adhering. This action is simultaneously multiplied by billions of other micelles so that the undesired material is dispersed into individual particles that do not have the ability to redeposit. When this reaction occurs, the dirt and oil particles becomes so diffused throughout the products that it begins to take on the characteristics of a water soluble solution.

All concentrates and chemical processes involved in our products are environmentally friendly: They use renewable resources. They clean effectively without creating toxins or being detrimental to our health and the environment.

Laws have already been passed such as the REACH agreement in 2007, from the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union which modernizes the European legislation of chemical substances and has put in place a registration, evalutation and chemical substances authorization, system.
