Company history

Derek James founder of Dulon International France and former captain used his knowledge gained onboard yachts to see the shortcomings in the market, as well as to "feel" the needs of its customers.

Our company was established in 2002. The original activity was the maintenance and renovation of all surfaces above water line, that are constantly exposed to attack by UV, pollution and the corrosive action of salt. Our team of certified applicators can work throughout the Mediterranean coast, between Imperia and Barcelona, while concentrating most of its activity between Marseille and Menton. Product sales have grown in parallel to complement this service base. Our company is the exclusive importer of the Dulon product range which are used for our service activity. We also distribute our products both directly and through a network of wholesalers and ship chandlers.

In 2005, a high quality anti-adhesion coating for propellers, Propspeed, strengthened our product sales. To compliment this new product, an application team was formed to apply Propspeed throughout the Mediterranean coast. When training is required we can also share our expertise with shipyards that promote and employ Propspeed.

In 2006-2007 our range of products and services was further expanded by a Nano-tech treatment for glass while a very long  life copper-based antifouling, Copperplus extended our product range. Thanks to its durability, Copperplus is now used in the petrochemical industry.

More recently, in 2008, a process for repairing scratches in glass was added to our services. Whatever the surface, a table, picture window or a door, our applicators use the Glasweld system to reform the glass into the scratches.

Finally in 2010, our company has taken on a new exclusive import agreement for Global Green products:  A complete range of environmentally friendly products 100% biodegradable and made from natural plant extracts such as cactus, coconuts, wheat , corn, soybean ... These products, dedicated in part to the maintenance of all interior and exterior surfaces  on boats are also being used in industrial sectors where they are intended for cleaning and decontaminating surfaces prior to painting or varnishing. Tests within the company Dentressangle are underway to find a solution to heavy ecological cleaning problems encountered on site.
